To Kill A Mockingbird
Show Dates: May 13-15, 2010 in the Black Box
Auditions: Monday, March 8th in the Black Box
Please look over the sides and the character descriptions for roles you would be interested in reading for. All auditions will be done in groups of 10. Please sign up for an audition slot on Mrs. Biddle's door room A208 starting on Thursday March 4th. Auditions slots will be an hour long. Copies of the script are available to check out in Mrs. Biddle's room. You may check out the script for one night. Copies of the sides are also available for check out.
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
Show Dates: May 7-9, 2010 in the Edith V. Pearce Auditorium
Auditions: Monday March 8th
For auditions please prepare at 32 bar song in the style of Spelling Bee. You are welcome to sing a song from the show. Suggested songs are:
I'm Not That Smart
Magic Foot
Woe is Me
I love you Song
I speak 6 languages
Prayer of the Comfort Counselor
My Friend the Dictionary
We are looking for actors with good comic timing, able to think on their feet and strong characters. Please be familiar with the script. Copies of the script are available to check out for one night in Mrs. Biddle's room. For first audition it will ONLY be singing. Not all characters must sing in the show, but you must show some type of song for the audition. You will be asked to do some Improv as well as readings from the script for Callbacks.
**If you are interested in being considered for either show you MUST prepare a song AND sign up for an audition time for Mockingbird. I HIGHLY encourage EVERYONE to audition for both shows. The more things you audition for the better opportunity you have of being cast in one of the shows. Because of the close timing of the shows, it is unlikely that an actor will be cast in BOTH shows!**
Call backs will be posted on Tuesday March 9th in the morning on the website and on Mrs. Biddle and Mrs. Lewis doors. Call backs will be Tuesday afternoon alongside auditions for 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Call back times will be posted on Tuesday March 9th.
